Archery Events

An excellent short, snappy fun task that can be run anywhere using our mobile archery range. Archery requires balance, poise, accuracy, vision and timing to hit the target.

Target Archery

Perhaps the type of archery we are all most familiar with and used to. A target is placed at a safe distance set depending upon experience. It consists of shooting a given number of arrows at targets, scores are taken depending on the accuracy of the individual.

This can be a fun, exciting and non competitive challenge or one based on scores of individuals and teams and made an interactive competitive Archery challenge.

Field Archery

This takes place in rough open country often woodland. Walking the course shooting distances are frequently unmarked so each archer has to rely on instinct and judgment.

Styles of Bow You Can Use:

Recurve – excellent starter box and the only style allowed at the Olympics. Associated with target archery, the ideal starter bow and the most popular style of archery in the UK
The bare bow is another type of bow which is a Recurve bow without a sight or stabilisers
Compound bow – Having pulleys and cables to make the holding weight less than half the draw weight
